A new power generating system known as gravodynergy has been identified as the alternative source of power which has the capacity to alleviate power supply problems in the country.

Speaking on the system weekend, a Kaduna based technologist, Mr. B.O. Balogun, said gravodynergy needed to be fully explored by the Federal Government. According to him, in a situation where all attempts to revamp power supply in country have failed, gravedynergy power generating system would prove the only rescuing valve. He regretted that he had earlier created awareness for this breakthrough without response from the authorities. "I want to explain my invention and get necessary assistance to build a prototype and put it to work in the public since it costs a considerably large sum of money to embark on such a project," he said.

Nigerians, Mr. Balogun observed, had suffered continually in the hands of NEPA and in the face of creditable alternative in gravodynergy power generating. The former head of Training Aids Production Unit of the Nigerian College of Aviation Technology, Zaria, pointed out that NEPA had attained the zenith of its capabilities "whereby a rescue or any augmentation of its scope is now expediently required."

Gravodynergy Power Generating System, the technologist assured, would serve as the only alternative for its uniqueness in as much as "it is a non-pollutant of the atmosphere, very economical to operate, produces the cheapest kilowatt per hour and installable any where, apart from its capability to save enormous foreign exchange for the country."

He called on the Senate Committee on Power and Steel to intervene in this issue as a matter of urgency to let the experimentation of gravodynergy power generating system come into being.

"Incessant breakdown of industrial activities that affect the nation's economy directly or indirectly as a result of NEPA's erratic power supply is one major factor of discouragement, it is a major factor of discouragement to a good number of prospective foreign investors," he pointed out, adding, "It's time we had power generating revolution for good."
